The classic company Christmas lunch in Barcelona is three heavy courses and a long sobremesa. It’s a good day out, and by four o’clock half the table wishes they’d skipped the second helping.
We cook Christmas food for offices, company teams and coworkings that still feels like a celebration. The cooking is lighter, so people enjoy the meal and have energy left for the afternoon, or for the party.
The canelones
Our Christmas signature is canelones, the dish Catalan families make on Sant Esteve, the day after Christmas. Frank makes them the traditional way and reworks the pasta and the béchamel so the whole tray is gluten-free and lactose-free.
So the coeliac colleague and the one who’s lactose intolerant eat the same canelones as the rest of the table, from the same tray.
Around them we build the rest of the menu: seasonal starters, a lighter main if you want one beyond the canelones, and something sweet that won’t flatten the afternoon. Frank sets the menu with you for each event, based on the headcount, the time of day and who’s eating.
What we cater in December
- Team Christmas lunches in the office, individually boxed or on trays for a shared table.
- End-of-year company events, from an afternoon with food and drinks to a sit-down lunch for everyone.
- Coworking Christmas parties for members, with the food set out in the common area.
- Client and partner lunches in the last weeks before the break.
If you’d like the food to carry on after the holidays, see office catering in Barcelona for weekly lunches, or the coworkings page if you run a space.
Allergies and diets
Tell us who’s eating and what they can’t eat when you ask for a quote. Frank plans the menu around it from the first dish, so the special meals are part of the spread instead of an afterthought. We regularly cook gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan, halal and diabetic-friendly food, and the canelones already cover gluten and lactose.
Book early
Christmas dates fill up first. Most companies want a day in the two weeks before the holidays, and Frank only takes on as many events as he can cook properly.
Book a few weeks ahead to get the date you want. If the numbers aren’t final yet, send a rough headcount now and adjust it later.

Who’s cooking
Frank Diaz has been cooking for thirty-five years, including time in starred restaurants and a Madrid Fusión award in 2019. For the last decade he’s been cooking every week for Barcelona households.
All the meat he cooks comes from Agrocantabria, a farmers’ cooperative in Cantabria, and the pasture-raised beef carries the IGP Carne de Cantabria seal.
For events he works with a team sized to the job, up to a hundred and fifty meals per delivery. Our own drivers bring it ready to serve, and the food stays in our cold chain the whole way, with no third-party couriers.
Price
Each Christmas event gets its own quote, because the menu, the headcount and the service format all move the number.
