Managing diabetes through food is mostly a consistency problem. The plan from your dietitian or endocrinologist is usually clear: this much carbohydrate per meal, regular timing, sensible fats, portions that don’t drift. Executing that every day, on top of work and family, while also cooking it, is where it gets hard. Drift is what shows up in the numbers.
We don’t write diet plans for diabetics, and you should be suspicious of any food company that offers to. What we do is cook the plan you already have, exactly and repeatably.
Consistency, engineered
Cooking for diabetic clients means, in practice:
- Carbohydrates per meal stay where your plan puts them, week after week. The same lunch slot carries the same carb load, so your medication and your meals stay in step.
- Portions are fixed and repeatable. A plate this Tuesday matches the same plate next Tuesday.
- Meals arrive labeled, so there’s never a question of which meal was built for which slot.
- Whole ingredients, cooked from scratch: vegetables, legumes, fish, meat, olive oil, controlled complex carbs. When you cook from the market there’s no mystery sugar in a sauce, because there’s no factory sauce.
If your dietitian wants to talk directly to the kitchen, that conversation is welcome. Precise briefs make Frank’s job easier.
For the person doing the cooking
A lot of the people who write to us about this aren’t the diabetic. They’re the partner or the adult child who has been running a separate cooking operation for one household member and is worn down by it. Handing the diabetic plan to us takes that entire workload off the family while making the food more consistent than home cooking realistically can be.
Who this fits
- Adults with type 1 or type 2 diabetes holding a carb-controlled plan from their medical team.
- People with prediabetes whose doctor has asked for steady carbs and real food.
- Families cooking separately for one diabetic member and ready to stop.
How to start
Fill in the form and tell us about the plan you’re working from: carbs per meal, timings, anything your medical team flagged. Frank comes back within 24 hours with a weekly proposal built on it. No lock-in, and the plan adjusts whenever your medical guidance does.
